About This Arrangement
“Breath of the Wild Trailer Theme” — the stirring orchestral piece featured in the 2017 Nintendo Switch presentation trailer — was composed by Manaka Kataoka and Ryo Nagamatsu, later arranged by Kosuke Yamashita for the official soundtrack. Its gentle, evolving melody sets a reflective mood, perfectly encapsulating the vast, adventurous ambiance of Hyrule.
Arranging this for solo guitar was a deeply rewarding project. I focused on translating its sweeping orchestral arcs and evolving harmonies into a fingerstyle version that retains the piece’s cinematic, hopeful opening.
