The Accordion Song is a playful song from the 2006 video game Sonic the Hedgehog. Although there have been several installations (versions) of the game since 2003, the Accordion song was first featured in the 2006 release. The franchise has about forty versions of the game. The developer, SEGA games, releases a new version of Sonic the Hedgehog just about every two years.
The latest release from the series is Sonic Frontiers which has now expanded to new platforms such as Ps5 and Nintendo series. Since its inception, the game has evolved in so many ways. SEGA has consistently updated the design, music as well as supported platforms for this particular game.
For instance, earlier editions of the game were usually in 2D and only worked on Ps2 and Xbox mostly. Besides, some older versions like Sonic Heroes and Sonic Battle were designed for weird, bygone platforms like Game Cube and Game Boy Advance. The music in these long-gone versions of Sonic the Hedgehog was usually in midi formats.

However, today, the game has become a chatter for diehard gamers and newbies. You can now access a modern 3D-centered version of this game across different platforms without a challenge. It’s not just the game design that has changed in the series. The music, in particular, has transformed largely with new tracks being added to the upcoming releases now and then.
While the Accordion song is one of the old tracks from the game’s long chain of releases, the developers have continually added newer songs to keep things interesting. Some famous Sonic the Hedgehog songs include Escape from the city by Tony Harnell, Sky Chase Zone, and Aquatic Ruin Zone, both by Masato Nakamura.
Did you know that even Wiz Khalifa wrote a Sonic-themed song? Well yeah! The song dubbed Speed Me Up features other renowned artists like Ty Dolla $ign and Lil Yachty. See the Sonic Accordion Song chords below.
